The perfect influencer

Brief

Vedett is the “Never grow up” rebel in Belgian beer brewer Duvel Moortgat’s portfolio. In the context to the brand’s excentric positioning, they asked Storyboard to develop a suitable influencer campaign, leveraged by an influential talent to convey the brand’s quirky character.

 

Approach

We’ve initiated a widely recognized collaboration between specialty beer brand Vedett and influencer Faberyayo (Pepijn Lanen). Storyboard created the storytelling concept "The perfect influencer campaign". A three-part humorous online series that inspires consumers not to take life too seriously. In the campaign we make a nod to ourselves and the industry, and mock some of the stereotypical traits of influencers in the process. Faber, like no-one else could, hilariously presented his thoughts on creating the “best” influencer content, how (not) to treat your clients.

 

Results

The campaign has been very successful and has been praised by both trade media like Adformatie, The best social, as well as noteworthy celebrities like Tim Hofman. More than 3.8 million contacts have been generated. And over a 1 Million people watched the entire series, resulting in a huge brand uplift over the course of the campaign.
